![]() I try not to risk it too near to the cliff off point. How do you "notice" this? I argue your observation is wrong, at least I have a different observation. i always pits the same lap i have 22% or 23% left on the tyre for ss, soft, inters and for mediums it can be made to last an extra lap but after that i put em in. I've noticed ss, softs, mediums and inters all fall off a cliff at 15% regardless. It sets your car for the race weekend based on the skill of your mechanics and your drivers feedback. One that I really like is called Auto Setup. 2 laps of full pace, X laps of medium pace and 2 laps of worn pace. All Discussions Screenshots Artwork Broadcasts Videos Workshop News Guides Reviews. Originally posted by steelreserv:Ok, yeah you got it. Its hard to test in practice because usually the sessions end before they wear that much (considering that you’re also trying to gain tire bonuses on 2 different sets). When they hit worn, you will lose a lot of time on the next sector. So if your tires are below 25% but you pace is roughly the same, you’re still in the medium band. The best way to find out is through experience and testing. ie if soft tires are your softest compound, the medium band ends at 20%.īut this is hearsay and should be used as a guide. Other people say the compounds dont matter but the tire selection for the race that determine the bands. 2 laps of full pace, X laps of medium pace and 2 laps of worn pace.Ī MM guide i found says that the worn bands start at the following percentages. Otherwise thanks for reading and I’ll see you in the comments. If you want some more information just ask. I can either be to cautious, or get to aggressive and push real hard to keep a position and I’ll end up hiring through to much fuel or tire. However I could learn to manage when I’m pushing and when I’m holding back. I’ve been able to get a top 10 placement on 4/5 races so far. ![]() Since I have the worst everything except gear box. Race management wise I tend to lean on going for as few pit stops as possible. ![]() We did just pass a vote for standardized suspension so that is why I’ve been considering building a brakes r&d. I’m considering building a brakes r&d, however I’m not 100% on it yet. This upcoming offseason I’ll look into developing some new engines and gear box’s, since I have a test track and a telemetry center. I picked up 2 young drivers the both have 5star potential and I picked up an older driver with the mentor trait to help with development. This past ofseason I signed all new staff and drivers. The 7th and 6th places are both within 10 points of my team so I’ll look to try to move up if possible. I’m trying to end the year in 8th for team rating and at this point I’ve got an 18 point lead on 9th. I started a brand new team (I’m not running any more) and I’m halfway through season 2.
